Services

As a major gifts fundraising consultant, I focus on building and growing major gifts programs and incorporating planned giving conversations into the mix from the beginning. I will work with you to figure out a scope of services that adds value and fits within your budget. Some examples of work I do with clients include:

  • Create defined portfolios of donors for front-line fundraisers, including a deep data review of your current donor file.
  • Conduct a Board Workshop to share the basics of major gifts fundraising and immediately jump into the science of effective prospecting.
  • Optimize your CRM (database) to support more effective fundraising strategies that scale as your program grows.
  • Support fundraisers wherever they are in their major gifts learning journey (early-career Development Managers or seasoned Development Directors, Executive Directors with and without development experience, and dedicated Board members). I provide a tailored coaching journey that supports with accountability related to donor outreach, strategies, solicitations, and closing the gift.

Let’s connect for an individual conversation to figure out how I can help you scale your fundraising program regardless of where your program is currently.

Client Testimonials

  • “Working with Kileen Marshall was transformational for our organization and easily one of the best decisions we’ve made. Kileen made a game-changing impact in helping us build knowledge, systems, and confidence in our development program that empowered us to more than triple our revenue over the last two years.” – Ben Davis, Executive Director, Friends of The Children – Western Montana
  • “Kileen brought her fundraising savvy to The Pulp and helped us build a development program from scratch. When we started working together, we had donors but no real fundraising strategy, systems or structure — and virtually no experience in donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship. So she put us through a nonprofit development bootcamp. Over eight months, Kileen coached us up on major-gifts fundraising best practices, set up portfolio management systems, helped us identify and onboard with the right CRM, and developed accountability frameworks that we, as startup founders juggling a million priorities, really needed. Her hands-on and forthright approach, as well as her ability to adapt as we raced to meet competing deadlines, were invaluable. Any nonprofit trying to get their fundraising act together would be lucky to work with her.” – Matthew Frank, Co-Founder, The Pulp
  • “Kileen’s work with us was essential in launching a structured major gifts program. I had the knowledge and skills — and I was already meeting with donors — but what we lacked was a functional system. Kileen gave us the tools and structure to engage in this work in a way that is manageable, sustainable, and intentional. We’re already seeing strong results, and I now feel genuinely confident leading and growing our major gifts program.” – Kira Huck, Executive Director, Community Health Alliance
  • “Kileen was critical in laying the foundation for a more strategic and sustainable fundraising program at Camp Māk-A-Dream. Her work was thoughtful, practical, and deeply action-oriented. Even after her engagement ended, the tools, systems, and structure she created continue to guide our development efforts. There have been several pivotal moments where her strategies and toolkit directly informed our approach to donor stewardship and major gift conversations, helping us strengthen relationships and successfully navigate high-stakes funding opportunities. In conversation after conversation, Kileen consistently brought clarity, practical solutions, and an enthusiasm that helped move the work forward.” – Emily Jensen, Development Director, Camp Mak-A-Dream
  • “As a national nonprofit already raising tens of millions annually, we needed a seasoned partner to help us unlock even greater potential. Kileen brought sharp strategic insight, a deep understanding of donor motivations and philanthropic partnership, and a steady hand that helped us think bigger and move more efficiently. She also supported us in deepening our use of systems, reporting, and data to drive results. Her partnership was truly catalytic in helping us level up our major gifts program.” – Angela Groves, Chief Officer of Development and Sustainability, Friends of the Children
  • “As a brand-new Executive Director with no real experience in Development, I was so grateful to be able to work with Kileen. She helped me build our Major Gifts Program from zero to 100 in just a few short months by working closely with myself and our Board. I left our consulting sessions feeling empowered and hopeful, and — dare I even say — eager to put what I learned from her into practice.” – Gina Judd, Executive Director, Friends of The Children – Eastern Idaho
